“An unknown person entered a Zoom video classroom with a disguise and made an inappropriate gesture with what appeared to be a handgun,” Principal Candy Van Buskirk said in a letter to families. “When the teacher became aware of the uninvited person she proceeded to remove him from the meeting, and he had already exited the meeting.”

The teacher immediately contacted administration, which contacted the school resource officer.

Police continue to investigate, but say the IP address of the stranger is from out of state.

Van Buskirk said officials have taken “immediate measures” to prevent future unauthorized access.
