Kalamazoo shooting survivor has second skull surgery

We have an update on one of the survivors of last year's deadly shooting in Kalamazoo.

15-year-old Abbie Kopf underwent another surgery on her skull Friday morning--- a procedure surgeons say went "very well".

During the operation, doctors had to re-insert a plastic plate to reshape the piece of her skull that was removed after she was shot in the head. The plate had to be removed in June due to an infection.

The man charged in her shooting --- and the deaths of six people--- still hasn't gone to trial.

A hearing on a motion to suppress Jason Dalton's statements to police after the February 20, 2016 shooting was supposed to happen Friday, but it got postponed.

In the days after his arrest, police say Dalton told them the Uber app on his phone was to blame, claiming it took over his car and his body in the hours before the shooting.

The judge is expected to set a trial date after ruling on this motion.

We will keep you posted when that happens.
