As Clinton prepares for the debate, her running mate, Tim Kaine, is stumping on her behalf.
He delivered a speech in Detroit Tuesday at Focus Hope, a small non-profit organization.
Kaine's speech was focused on the economy, poverty and racism. He also spoke about Clinton's dedication to their progressive platform.
"I'm proud of the progressive agenda that we have. And I'm proud that Hillary hasn't backed away from old principal commitments that she made when she won a fairly and vigorously contested democratic primary," said Kaine.
He'll continue on the campaign trail Wednesday in the battleground states of Ohio and North Carolina.
