LANSING, Mich. — Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes (JAMGL) announced that as of April 2, 2020, all the K-12 grade programming normally delivered to students in-person in the classroom setting will now be available on-line. “This is an unprecedented time for students, teachers and schools,” said Bill Coderre, President, JAMGL. “Our goal, as always, is to be a resource. We want West Michigan students to continue learning and to benefit from the proven curriculum provided by JA.”
COVID-19 has quickly and profoundly changed our daily lives. With Governor Whitmer closing face-to-face education through the remainder of the school year, Junior Achievement has stepped up and for the first time in its history is providing free, online classes for teachers, parents and students through June 30, 2020. “We are doing this in order to continue our programming, servicing the thousands of students we impact daily. Our efforts will ensure that students can spend more time planning for and dreaming about tomorrow, and less time worrying about today,” said Coderre.
These resources will be sent via email to area teachers and educational constituents as well as made available via our website (westmichigan.ja.org) and social media sites. All programs are free and available to the public and can be accessed at: www.JA.org/Tomorrows.
