Jordyn Wieber has tweeted a message of support to her former Team USA Gymnastics and Fierce Five member hours after she alleged she was abused by former doctor Larry Nassar.

The DeWitt native and McKayla Maroney were on Team USA Gymnastics team in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In a lengthy statement on Twitter on Wednesday, Maroney says she was abused by Nassar at one of her first team training campus and before events at the 2012 games. Team USA won the gold medal in London and Maroney took an individual silver medal on the vault. Maroney retired from the sport of gymnastics last year.

Wieber posted a message of support to Maroney late Wednesday morning, saying "So sad and heartbreaking that this happened to you Mack. I'm here for you and I support you".

Wieber currently lives in Los Angeles and has retired from gymnastics. She has never publicly accused Nassar of abuse.
Another member of London's Fierce Five also tweeted a message of support to Maroney. Aly Raisman said "100% support you. SO proud of you and your strength. Love you like a sister!!"

Nassar is currently in prison in Michigan after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. He is awaiting trial on separate criminal sexual conduct charges and has been sued by more than 125 women alleging abuse.
