Trial is expected to begin this morning for the Jackson County teen accused in the shooting death of his own brother.
17-year-old Riley Spitler is charged as an adult with open murder in the shooting of his older brother Patrick Spitler in December 2014.
Prosecutors say the two were horsing around with guns, when Riley shot his 20-year-old brother Patrick in the chest at their home in Blackman Township.
A detective testified at the teen's preliminary exam last January that Riley sold drugs, and the two brothers had a history of fighting.
Spitler is also charged with felony firearm and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
Jury selection is expected to begin this morning in Judge McBain's courtroom at 9:30.
