JACKSON, Mich. — The Jackson City Council has postponed a vote on a measure that would make landlords pay when their tenants are forced to move out.
The ordinance would come into play when a rental property is deemed unfit.
The city would cover temporary housing for renters for five days.
The landlord would have to pick up the cost for the next 90 days.
