Jackson police searching for teens accused of throwing fireworks in car starting fire

Jackson police are searching for a group of teenagers accused of destroying two cars after tossing a firework into one of the cars.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of the Target at Jackson Crossing. Police say the teens threw fireworks into the open window of a Pontiac Grand Am setting the car on fire. The flames then spread to a jeep parked next to the car. Both vehicles were totaled.

Mlive reports police believe the suspects may have stole the fireworks from the Target store. According to Mlive, the burned cars belong to two employees at Potbelly Sandwich shop.
