People living in a Jackson neighborhood are on edge after a car theft that took place on a high-speed chase.

"Someone is targeting this block and something needs to be done about it."

That's what neighbors on Orange Street in Jackson are saying about a crime spree that broke out Wednesday night.

"We are kind of fed-up as homeowners, we work hard for what we have," Christina Centers, a Jackson resident, said.

Jackson Police said they responded to reports of a car theft on the 1700 block of East Ganson Street. The suspects were found during a traffic stop before leading police on a chase.

"Oh yeah, we heard the sirens." Centers said.

The chase ended in a crash just south of Jackson and the crooks took off on foot, but neighbors on Orange Street say they believe the thieves started the rampage on their block.

"My boyfriend got up and noticed that his truck was broken into and all they took was is wallet, so then when I got out of work I looked through my car and they got in my car," Angela Stiles, a resident, said.

"Opened up my car door and noticed that it was ransacked and I immediately kicked my door shut and then I went and called 911 waited for the Jackson City Police, " Tammie Downard, a resident, said.

Jackson Police did not confirm if the case are connected, but they did confirm that it happened on the same night, in the same area.

If you have any information about the crimes call Jackson Police.
