Jackson man bound over on multiple firearm charges

JACKSON, Mich. — Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka said a man was bound over to circuit court on charges.

Rontay Dell Grady was bound over on charges of discharging a firearm in or at a building causing injury, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, possession of firearms by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, assault with a dangerous weapon and felony firearm.

Discharging a firearm in or at a building causing injury carries a maximum penalty of 15 years. Carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, possession of firearms by a felon, and possession of ammunition all carry a maximum penalty of five years. Assault with a dangerous weapon carries a maximum penalty of four years. Felony firearm carries a mandatory two years in the Department of Corrections.

A circuit court pretrial will be scheduled before Circuit Court Judge Thomas D. Wilson.
