JACKSON, Mich. — The Jackson man accused of shooting at a police officer pled guilty on Tuesday.
Jalen Page was charged with assault with intent to murder and a felony firearm.
Police say Page fired at a Jackson police officer who was responding to a domestic assault call on September 2, 2018 at the 1100 block of Adrian Avenue in Jackson.
The officer was in his patrol car in front of a house pursuing Page when Page fired his gun at the officer.
The officer was not hurt and did return fire, however, Page escaped by running through local backyards.
This happened on the 1100 block of South Milwaukee Street.
He was arrested by Michigan State Police's Fugitive Team on September 6, 2018 in Flint.
Page faces up to life in prison.
His sentencing is scheduled for September 11, 2019 at 9 a.m. in front of Judge McBain.
