A Jackson man is sentenced to 5 to 10 years in prison for seriously injuring his 3-week-old son.
The 27-year-old Lawrence Rinesmith admitted to hurting the newborn nearly a year ago.
On October 16, 2015 Allegiance Health in Jackson reported that the child had several fractures in his arm, leg and ribs.
Authorities say the child has since healed from his injuries and is doing well.
