Jackson National Life Insurance Company® (Jackson®) will join the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter as one of its 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Elite Level Sponsors in Lansing, Mich.

The Lansing Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Sunday, Sept. 27. Due to COVID-19, the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to walk as individuals or in small groups on sidewalks, tracks and trails across Ingham County.

“Jackson and our associates are proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association in its work to find a cure for this terrible disease,” said Jackson assistant vice president of Corporate Philanthropy and executive director, Jackson Charitable Foundation, Danielle Robinson. “Being in the retirement solutions industry, we have seen the pain and heartache Alzheimer’s causes families, along with the financial implications of caring for a loved one. Jackson is committed to finding a cure, supporting families and building stronger communities for everyone.”

Jackson has been an elite sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s since 2012, and has been supporting the Alzheimer’s Association since 2008. As a purpose-driven company dedicated to helping Americans pursue financial freedom for life, Jackson invests locally in community enrichment programs that strengthen families and create economic opportunities where their associates live and work.

“We’re grateful to Jackson for joining us in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia,” said Jennifer Lepard, president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter. “Without the support of sponsors such as Jackson and our event participants, we would not be able to provide valuable support services to Michigan residents living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, while also funding critically needed research.”

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease – the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 16 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
