Mid-Michigan voters will head to the polls to decide the fate of local school millage.
Polls open at 7:00 AM.
Jackson Public Schools are hoping voters will say yes to a nearly $87,000,000 bond proposal Tuesday.
The money will help pay for a new elementary school, cover costs for remodeling of other schools in the district and pay for safety and security improvements.
Northwest Community Schools in Jackson are also hoping voters will agree to a nearly $25,000,000 proposal.
If passed -- the money will fund classroom additions at all northwest schools. School officials said this proposal picks up where the district's last bond issues stopped.
Voters approved two proposals totaling $40,000,000 back in 2013.
The Columbia School District and East Jackson community schools are also going to voters for renewals of their non-homestead tax.
Pulaski, Liberty, Hanover and Springport Township residents will also vote on fire millages. Polls are open until 8 PM.
