Jackson City Council approved four ordinances Tuesday to protect people from discrimination.

The ordinances take into account things like race, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

But goes even further to include height, weight, mental handicaps, and other reasons.

Prior to the vote, people could be denied housing, jobs and event access to cable television.

The new measures are all about making Jackson a more inclusive city.
