The city of Jackson gave final approval to two marijuana ordinances Tuesday night.
The ordinances create the framework for allowing a small number of medical marijuana facilities in the city as well as opting into the state's new recreational marijuana law.
They will take effect in 30 days but, first, a system has to be set up for licensing.
