LANSING, Mich. — According to police, five different semis along I-96 jackknifed along the highway causing traffic backups on several stretches.
They say there were only minor injuries.
"People are not learning year after year, it's the same thing. If you don't have to drive, then don't drive. " Said Isaac Blackburn with Davis Towing
Isaac Blackburn was on the highway digging cars out of the snow.
"Even after they are going through and plowing, there is still a fine layer of ice and they are drifting and going right over it, causing it to get even more slippery ." Said Blackburn
Rachel Schmidt was stuck in traffic and says its a big inconvenience for her. She needs to get back to college.
"Well, I have to write a paper today that I procrastinated a little bit. So I do need to get back to Kalamazoo soon." Said Schmidt
