LANSING, Mich. — It's Tax Day.

Not a holiday, and not always a favorite day for Americans.

But, an important day that makes its way onto the Hallmark calendars.

The IRS says that millions of people have not filed their taxes yet as of the morning of April 15.

They are also reporting that the average refund this year is over $2800.

If you need more time to file, you can request an extension.

Just click on this linkto be taken to the IRS page on how to file an extension.

You'll need form 4868 which grants you another 6 months to file.

However, an extension to file your taxes is not an extension to pay.

If you owe, you still owe on April 15.
