Ingham ISD Receives Personal Protective Equipment from Variety of Donors

LANSING, Mich. — Ingham Intermediate School District (Ingham ISD) has accepted a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) donations from various companies and departments including General Motors, Hanes and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to name a few. The Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Service, the Michigan State Police and the Michigan Community Service Commission as well as the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Districts, have partnered to identify PPE needs of local school districts for distribution this fall.

“Each of our local districts has differing needs and Ingham ISD is glad to help coordinate the distribution of this PPE,” notes Jason Mellema, Superintendent at Ingham ISD. “We are extremely appreciative for the generous donations of masks and face shields to keeps students and staff safe as they return to our school buildings,” Mellema also noted.

Donations include both child and adult sized disposable and reusable masks and face shields. Ingham ISD will be distributing this equipment to our local districts as they return for face-to-face instruction.

Ingham Intermediate School District offers programs and services to staff and students in the districts of Dansville, East Lansing, Haslett, Holt, Lansing, Leslie, Mason, Okemos, Stockbridge, Waverly, Webberville and Williamston.
