MASON, Mich. — After moving into new facilities, the Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter (ICACS) has reopened operations Wednesday.

To celebrate their reopening, a Grand Opening ceremony will be held on June 14. This open event will celebrate the hard work and dedication over the last three years when the millage approving the move passed.

The new facilities were build by Granger Construction with over 10 tons of steel, 4,000 cubic yards of concrete and approximately 115 miles of wiring.

The grand opening ceremony will be presided over by Ingham County Commissioners. Ingham County Animal Shelter Fund Chairperson Holly Thompson will be presenting Shelter Director Jodi LeBombard with the ceremonial check of $300,000 from their Capital Campaign.
