Sparrow Hospital showcased infant massage on Tuesday.
Infant massage is a way to bond with and soothe the youngest of patients.
Sparrow told FOX 47 that the proper use of massage can "provide positive touch and soothe tight muscles of infants who might be undergoing difficult procedures, tests and processes, such as X-rays and IVs."
They say that positive touch can also help parents bond with their newborns.
Sparrow Caregivers have even received special certification in neonatal touch and massage to be used in Sparrow's Pediatric Rehabilitation unit and Regional Intensive Care Unit (RNICU).
