The Gerdau facility in Lansing says Tuesday's fire had little impact on production. The company released a statement Wednesday saying the fire was put out quickly enough that it won't have much of an impact.
Repairs to one of the furnaces should be finished in a few days.
No employees were hurt.
Investigators don't know how the fire started.
