ROMULUS, Mich. — The Detroit Metropolitan Airport is closed and has several canceled or delayed flights Tuesday night due to weather conditions.
Due to snow and ice, airline traffic is experiencing gate hold and taxi delays between 1 hour and 1 minute and 1 hour and 15 minutes or more, according to the FAA's Air Traffic Control System Command Center [fly.faa.gov].
The airport is expected to reopen at 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to the command center.
