An icy runway caused flights to be cancelled at a Northern Michigan airport.
Freezing rain turned the runway to ice.
To cut through the ice, airport crews used a high powered air blower.
They also had to scrape the ice.
Airport crews say they're used to cleaning ice off the runways but they can't use salt.
They say that temperatures in the upper 30's and low 40's help when it comes to clearing the ice.
