EATON COUNTY, Mich. (WSYM) - A camper trailer that caught on fire caused two lanes of westbound I-96 in Eaton County to be shutdown for several hours Sunday morning.
The scene has been cleared and all lanes of the highway are back open.

A camper trailer that caught on fire has two lanes of westbound I-96 in Eaton County shutdown Sunday morning.
The highway is closed between the 88 and 89 mile markers while crews clear the scene. Police say a truck was towing a camper when the driver noticed smoke. They pulled over and were able to detach the camper, before driving to safety. It took firefighters more than an hour to get the flames out, they're now working to clear the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
