JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. — Interstate 94 in Jackson County is back open after it was down to one lane due to several crashes early Monday afternoon.
Pooling water on the freeway caused four crashes on eastbound Interstate-94 in Jackson County.
The first two crashes happened in the eastbound passing lane when flooding caused vehicles to hydroplane out of control, according to the Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety.
One crash involved two cars and the other involved seven.
Shortly after that, two more two-vehicle crashes happened due to traffic backups, for a total of four crashes involving 13 vehicles, according to police.
Public safety officers said one individual was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
