BLACKMAN TWP., Mich. (WSYM) - Human remains discovered earlier this week in Jackson County have been identified as a man who went missing in Mid-Michigan.
Police tell FOX 47 News the body of 25-year-old Paul Porter was discovered Monday by two people kayaking the Grand River in Blackman Township.
The body was found decomposed.
It is unknown how Porter died.
Family tells FOX 47 News Porter vanished on January 20, 2018 leaving no trace behind.
The Jackson County dive team assisted in retrieving the remains, which were partially in the river.
Porter was last seen leaving his home in the 900 block of North Blackstone Street in Jackson.
In a January Interview with FOX 47 News, Porter’s family says they have an idea who might have taken Porter.
