LANSING, Mich. — Cannabidiol or CBD Oil, seems to be available everywhere.
Products have been flooding the market since the 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp and its derivatives as controlled substances.
It has even been for sale at local Family Video Stores, but many wonder if it's safe.
Fox 47 heard from a pharmacologist who says we should be careful when taking it.
"It is drug like and if we're not careful and you are taking other meds it might interfere or enhance their effects," said Dr. Kent Vrana.
The FDA has issued warning letters to three companies for making unsubstantiated medical claims about CBD.
It is also holding hearings about possible new regulations at the end of the month.
