LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Fire Department is looking into what caused a house to catch fire on the city's south side.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire at a home in the 3500 block of Bergman Avenue just before midnight Sunday.

Flames were visible on the front of the house when firefighters arrived on scene.

The fire was contained to the front of the house, officials with the Lansing Fire Department said.

No one was hurt in the fire.

LFD says the house has quite a bit of smoke damage but the house is not deemed a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
