House badly damaged in morning fire

The Lansing Fire Department is investigating a fire that badly damaged a house early Monday morning.

Crews got the call just before 2:30 a.m. Monday for a house on fire in the 800 block of North Walnut Street.

A FOX 47 photographer on scene could see smoke pouring out of the home while firefighters worked inside the home. Crews were able to put the fire out in about a half hour.

This is a breaking news story. FOX 47 is working to get more details on if anyone was home at the time of the fire or if anyone was hurt.
