LANSING, Mich. — FOX 47 and Midwest Communications have teamed up to salute a local front line worker making a difference in our community.
This week’s Hometown Hero is Wanda Beavers , a home care aide from Jackson.
Wanda, who is known by the nickname ‘Mama Tu-Tu’, has a history of helping others
She was named Jackson’s Citizen of the Year in 2010 and she hasn’t slowed down.
From opening up her home to those with nowhere else to go to hosting a BBQ for the homeless in her own backyard
‘Mama Tu-Tu’ is a tireless advocate for those in need
