LANSING, Mich. — FOX 47 and Midwest Communications have teamed up to salute a local front line worker making a difference in our community.
This week’s Hometown Hero is Salena Taylor a community organizer from Jackson.
In 2018, Salena started a group called Partial to Girls: Women Taking Action.
When the Coronavirus hit Michigan, she knew she had to step up and help others
Salena began collecting baby formula and diapers in her living room and sharing with parents in need. So far, she’s helped over a thousand Jackson families get baby supplies during the pandemic.
Salena, Thank you for all you do.
