He was shot by a homeowner who says he was trying to break in.
A judge has decided the man will stand trial.
Jesse Irving is charged with armed robbery, carjacking, home invasion and felony firearms.
Police say he broke into a house on Winifred street in Blackman Township on December 23rd.
And, during a struggle with the 77-year-old homeowner, Irving was shot in the stomach -- before taking off in the victim's truck.
Officers arrested Irving a few days later after he checked himself into the hospital.
If convicted he faces up to life in prison.
