(WSYM)--A Shiawassee County family may be with out a house and garage after both caught fire early Saturday morning.
It happened around 2:30a.m. in 6300 block of south Love Joy Road in Perry Township.
It took about seven Mid-Michigan fire departments an hour to douse the flames.
Investigators tell FOX 47 News the fire started in the garage.
The couple who lived at the home, were able to escape the blaze, along with some of their pets.
A few pets unfortunately did not make it out.
Crews are still investigating what sparked the fire.
