A Holt man drowned Sunday in a Woodland Township Lake.
The Barry County Sheriff's Office was called to a swimmer in distress around 7:25 p.m on the Southwest end of Jordan Lake. 57 Year old Scott Whitford disappeared below the surface before authorities arrived, according to a press release.
Firefighters found Whitford in about 7 feet of water about 60 feet off shore. First responders performed CPR, but were unable to resuscitate him. The incident remains under investigation.
