Hillsdale College was temporarily locked down after they received information about a potential threat.
They believed a former student left his hometown residence, and could have posed a threat to the school. Law enforcement was on campus, and worked closely with campus security.
Students, employees, and others were informed and were updated through the college’s phone alert system, email system, and social media outlets.
After the lock down was lifted classes were expected to resume as usual.
