Plan accordingly this weekend.
MDOT is shutting down a stretch of U.S. 127 for pavement repairs from Friday night until early Monday.
Northbound U.S. 127 will be closed between I-496 and Lake Lansing Road starting at 9 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday.
During construction, drivers will be detoured to westbound I-496 to I-96 to I-69 back to U.S. 127.
MDOT says this project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety, and will extend the lifespan of the highway.
