With the national average for gas higher than it has been since 2014, more Americans may stay home this summer.

That's according to Gas Buddy's 2018 Summer Travel Survey.

The survey found only 58% of Americans plan on taking a road trip this summer, which is down 24% from last year

On top of that, the majority who will hit the roads say they will not travel as far.

Only 31% plan on driving more than 500 miles round trip, which is down 25%.
