Henry Ford Allegiance showed off its new Patient Tower to the public this week, as a part of its 100th-year celebration.
The new tower will feature 66 rooms, family lounges and more. In addition, it will allow patients to stay in one room during their entire stay. The hospital says that it was designed to feel like home.
"It's so important. The better they feel and the more comfortable they feel, the better they can heal. And that's what we are here for. So our number one priority is the patient and making sure they feel better so that they can go home," Marketing Specialist Karri Doty said.
Patients will also now be able to access health care services on an app called "My Chart." Doctors added that the care will also be brought to them.
The tower opens in early September.
