Not a washout by any means, but the overnight rain is leaving some standing water across our area.

The road underneath the bridge near Lansing's Potter Park Zoo is one of the spots that typically floods and is closed off right now.

Wednesday night, FOX 47 saw a couple of cars drive through the standing water which is something police say you should not do. Some of the vehicles appeared to stall out after getting through the water and drivers had to call for help.

We talked with the Ingham County Sheriff's Office who tell us there have been tree limbs knocked down overnight in several different areas but crews have been working to clear up the roads all night.

There have also been multiple reports of downed power lines, one was found on New York Avenue in Lansing.

Police say if you ever see a downed wire, call 9-1-immediately, and do not go near it.

There's no word on when this road will open at this time. News 10 will be sure to update you if that changes.
