A heated city council meeting in Jackson Tuesday night after the Human Relations Commissioner was fired -- and then got an apology.
Valerie Cochran Toops is still employed. But it's the reason why council fired her that is rather bizarre.
City Council was concerned because someone reported Cochran Toops was caught on a recording in a meeting saying the city was burning down homes with dead bodies in them and then disposing the remains.
It all took Cochran Toops off guard. Council decided not to move forward with the allegations.
