LANSING, Mich. — (WSYM) - FOX47 News is helping inform you of the top local stories in your neighborhood. Happening Today helps neighbors know what is going on throughout the day.

Silver Bells in the City

The annual Silver Bells in the City holiday celebration returns for its 41st year tonight, officially kicking off the holiday season.

Marking the occasion are the traditional Electric Light Parade, the lighting of the state Christmas tree, a community sing, drone and fireworks shows and the biggest Silver Bells Village ever.

If you can’t attend in person, you can watch the magic here on FOX47 News beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Warm Watch Party

And for neighbors looking to enjoy the parade but stay out of the cold, Lansing Community College is hosting a watch party at its Downtown Campus.

The free event allows neighbors to watch the parade on screen while staying warm inside the Gannon Commons.

The event runs from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the parade.
