Despite the less-than-ideal weather, Habitat for Humanity broke ground on what will be two new homes in Lansing Monday.

One will be here on the 15-hundred block of Muskegon Avenue on the north side of town.

The other will be on the five-thousand block of Ingham Street near the corner of Jolly and Pleasant Grove.

The owners will pay interest-free mortgages to the capital region branch of Habitat for Humanity.
