Thursday night, at about 11:30, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies checked out an illegal marijuana growing operation on West Adams street in the Village of Homer.
Earlier that day deputies were at the residence searching for someone when they saw the marijuana plants. The plants were being grown illegally in the back yard. During the search, the deputies found and seized many large plants, processed marijuana and what they suspect is Hash oil.
They also took firearms out of the residence. No one was home during the search.
This incident remains under investigation.
