The family of Deven Guilford has agreed to dismiss Eaton County as a defendant in the federal suit.
Guilford was shot and killed by Eaton County Sergeant Jonathan Frost in February of 2015.
Frost says he pulled Guilford over for flashing his high beams, and that the teenager refused to hand over his drivers license and other documents.
It turned physical when Frost pulled Guilford from the car. We don't know exactly what happened after that. Frost ended "bloodied and bruised," and shot Guilford to death.
Guilford's family sued both him and the county. Frost is now the only defendant.
