Michigan's newest 2018 gubernatorial candidate made a stop in Mid-Michigan Thursday. Attorney General Bill Schuette spoke at the Michigan Business Leaders meeting in East Lansing. Schuette is touring the state after launching his campaign on Wednesday.
Despite Michigan boasting an unemployment rate below four percent, Schuette says Michigan needs a Governor that will bring jobs to the state. "Other states are outpacing and growing faster than we are. I'm sick and tired of having the jobs go elsewhere. I want people to come back to our state."
Schuette also stopped at a manufacturing facility in Jackson. The Attorney General says he will be campaigning in Metro Detroit Friday, before launching his campaign office in Livingston County on Saturday.
