LANSING, Mich. — The Greater Lansing Food Bank is revealing a new refrigerated truck on Thursday, August 1.
The GLFB Food Movers Program says the truck will be essential to help save food that restaurants and centers get rid of.
In 2018, they used a similar truck to save 145, 000 pounds worth of food. That food was then delivered to those in need in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties.
Those those interest in attending the event, the Greater Lansing Food Bank is located at 2116 Mint Road, Lansing, MI 48906.
