Celebrate winter in the city while skating with the Grand Rapids Griffins when the annual Great Skate Winterfest event starts on Saturday at 12 p.m.
Between skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, and winter sports, there will also be a family activity tent and an ice sculpting demonstration.
The event will run for 34 consecutive hours, from 12 p.m. on Saturday until 10 p.m. on Sunday, and is run in support of the Griffins Youth Foundation.
Admission is free to the public, although there is a $3 skating fee for adults and $1 fee for kids.
