GRCC unveils plan for fall semester

School officials tell us so far fall enrollment is down, not just at grcc but across the nation and their hope is that by offering these new flexible options, students will feel more comfortable enrolling.

The four new class options not only provide flexibility but a new level of safety.
these include on campus classes like before, online only, hybrid - with in person but mostly online, and virtual classes which will meet using programs such as zoom or skype.

Administration says by offering the four formats the school is minimizing risk for students and staff, as the region works to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
they also say wherever possible in person only classes will be avoided.

“We are ready to provide our community with robust classes delivered in a safe, responsible manner,” President Bill Pink said. “West Michigan has always turned to this college during difficult times, and we are proud of that role. We are offering a mix of online and on-campus classes and taking proper precautions. This will be a different type of semester, and we might need to continue making changes. But we will not sacrifice quality or safety.”
