The family of the Detroit Tigers public address announcer and longtime Grand Rapids radio host says he is experiencing kidney failure.
Jay Allen has been fighting stage 4 bile duct cancer since being diagnosed last March. In a Facebook post, Allen’s family says he is in kidney failure because of the cancer.
Doctors tell the family the damage can’t be reversed but believe dialysis will help.
A Facebook post on a page detailing his cancer treatment says doctors believe his time is short.
